  1. Choose your plan

Check your phone before you fly

An eSIM needs a phone that can hold one, and a phone that is not locked to a network. Both take a minute to check and neither can be fixed at an airport.

  • Dial *#06#. An EID under the IMEI means the phone can take an eSIM.
  • iPhone XS and later, Pixel 3 and later, Galaxy S20 and later, with exceptions.
  • A phone bought on contract may be locked. Your operator unlocks it, usually free.

FAQ

Questions people ask before buying

If yours is not here, the help centre has the long answers.

Visit the help centre
What is an eSIM?

A SIM card your phone downloads instead of one you put in. You scan a code, the plan installs, and your own SIM stays where it is.

Will my phone take one?

Most phones sold since 2019 will. Dial *#06#, if an EID appears alongside the IMEI, yours does. There is a list of every model on the guide page.

When does the plan start?

When it first connects to a network at your destination, not when you buy it. Install it before you fly and it waits for you.

Does it have a phone number?

No. These are data plans, so anything that sends you a code by SMS will not reach you. Your own number keeps working on your own SIM.

Ready for your next trip?

Pick where you are going, scan the code, and arrive connected. Your own SIM stays where it is.
